Nectar Points make it easy to recognize and reward your coworkers in a meaningful way. Below are the most commonly asked questions about how points function, from giving them to redeeming them.

• Points to Give are the points you use to shoutout coworkers. Your company sets a monthly allowance, and these points reset at the beginning of each month.
• Points to Redeem are the points you receive when others shout you out. You can redeem these for rewards, gift cards, and company swag.

How Do I Earn Nectar Points?

• Shoutouts: You can earn points when colleagues send you a shoutout that includes points. If a shoutout does not specify points, none will be awarded.
• Awards and Challenges: Points can also be earned through admin-driven awards or company-sponsored challenges. These methods vary based on your organization's setup.

Do Nectar Points Expire?

• Points to Give reset automatically on the first day of each month.
• Points to Redeem do not expire, so you can save up for bigger rewards at any time.
• Potential Manual Resets: Admin teams or employers have the option to manually reset redeemable points in certain situations, such as organizational resets or specific policy actions. Employees should check with their HR team for confirmation of such policies.
• Organization-Specific Expiration Policies: While Nectar's default policies signify that "Points to Redeem" do not expire and "Points to Give" reset monthly, some organizations might impose custom expiration policies. For example, companies may implement annual or quarterly resets or adjustments. Employees are encouraged to consult with HR to understand company-specific rules.

How do I find and use the Activity page in the Nectar to check my shoutout history?

The "Activity" page in Nectar serves as a central space for reviewing your interactions, such as checking points (received or given) or viewing shoutouts.

Accessing the Activity Page

To navigate to the Activity page, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Nectar account.
2. Navigate to Your Profile:
   • On the Nectar Home page, click your name in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
3. Locate the Activity Option:
   • Depending on your interface settings:
     • Look for the "Activity" option at the top.
     • Alternatively, you might see a bar labeled "Personal Information" with a small dropdown arrow. Click the arrow to access the "Activity" option from the menu.

Using the Activity Page to Check Points

Once on the Activity page, you can toggle between:

• Received: View all the points you have accumulated.
• Given: View and track the points you’ve awarded to others.

How Can I Get More Points to Give?

If you run out of Points to Give, you have a few options:

1. Wait until the start of the next month for an automatic reset.
2. Ask your Admin to manually increase your balance.
3. Use Boost Points (if enabled by your company) to access additional shoutout points. Check out our article on how to boost points HERE One common issue is the inability to give points to others. This may occur due to:
   • Monthly Allowance Not Yet Reset: Your previously allocated points may have been fully utilized, and your new monthly allowance has not yet refreshed.
   • Changes in Company Settings: Your organization might have adjusted point-giving policies or settings, impacting your ability to send points. If you encounter this, check your monthly allowances and consult your Admin to understand any updates to point-giving policies or settings.
   • Company-Enabled Points Feature: Earning and giving points depend on whether your organization has enabled this feature. If you’re unable to see options to earn or give points, consult your HR representative or manager to confirm its activation.

What’s the Conversion Rate for Nectar Points?

Nectar uses a simple conversion:

• 10 Nectar Points = $1 USD

This rate applies when redeeming your points for rewards.

Can Nectar Points Be Purchased?

No, Nectar points cannot be purchased. Nectar does not offer any option for users to buy points directly. Instead, points can be earned through various activities within the app. These activities include:

• Participating in shoutouts
• Engaging in challenges
• Utilizing other in-app recognition features These methods provide opportunities to accumulate points while actively engaging with the app's community and features.
